THE CREW
The Nireas Offshore Sailing Team is an international TEAM of sailors, female and male from Cyprus, Greece, Italia, Serbia, Great Britain, Germany, Swiss and Austria.
The Nireas Offshore Sailing Team is an exciting project who found from the main skipp Charalambos Avaratzis in June of 2014.
The aims with that project is to change the history of sailing in Cyprus by providing the very first pure racing yacht able to compete at an international level. It is manned by some of the best sailors on the island, all sharing a common passion and vision for participation at prestigious regattas with a Cyprus flag.
THE SHIP
The open maxi 65ft Cometa’s maiden is named as NIREAS, her home port is the Limassol Marina in Cyprus.The key ambassadors of the sailing Off Shore sport docks in Dock G1 in the Limassol Marina.
Designed by Maurizio Cossutti, in a quest for enhanced performance and pure speed, the carbon-fiber racer is one of the marvels of the Open Class. The ship is a very first pure racing yacht able to compete at an international level.
The NIREAS is under the Cyprus flag.
